Panasonic Unveils Eluga Note – Will It Attract The Indian Youth?

Just back from the Panasonic #KeepANote event (held at Le Meridien, New Delhi), and it is probably one of the shortest and sweetest events I have ever attended, at least for a smartphone launch. Panasonic launched their new budget smartphone “Eluga Note”.

My Views About Panasonic Eluga Note (#KeepANote)

Panasonic Unveils Eluga Note

First and foremost, it’s a pretty decent phone; I don’t disagree on that. But since they are priced at Rs.13,290, I genuinely feel they should have kept at least a single & powerful USP over other smartphones in this price range, take LeEco Le 2, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and ASUS ZenFone Max for example. They are doing pretty good in the market and to beat them, Panasonic badly needs something special in this smartphone.

As far as I have seen, this is a good smartphone and has decent specs like 3000mAh battery, 16MP camera, 3GB RAM, and Dual SIM. These are really some solid features for a 10k-15k budget smartphone. On the other hand, we have much better smartphones around 10k-11k price range than this Panasonic Eluga Note. I liked the inbuilt IR sensor and triple LED flash thing, but still, these are just add-ons. Moreover, this phone won’t be officially available on Flipkart or Amazon, they are focusing on marketing and selling it ‘offline’ instead.

So the final question is, what makes this smartphone so special over their competitors?
