Okay, so the big wait is over and finally Amazon decided to reveal their smartphone before iPhone 6 launch. Amazon is a huge brand, it’s almost like Google, no wonder about it. But when I heard the news that they are going to launch a smartphone, my expectations weren’t really high, I was confident it’ll be a decent device with good features and I was right.
Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos presented their company’s first smartphone – Amazon Fire Phone. This happened today at an event at Seattle. It is not really small or really huge, but stands between a typical Android phone and iPhone. Features of Amazon Fire Smartphone are decent and I’m pretty sure it will be a good contender for other popular smartphones.
Key Features Of Amazon Fire Smartphone
1. Display: 4.7-inch screen (720p) with Gorilla glass protection. Also includes motion-tracking screen.
2. Processor: 2.2 GHz Quad-core processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon processor) and Adreno 330 GPU.
3. Camera: 13 MP + f/2.0 lens with optical image stabilization.
4. RAM: 2 GB RAM.
5. Speakers: Dolby stereo speakers.
6. Operating System (OS): Fire OS 3.5 (Android-based OS, but customized).
Honestly I didn’t expect Amazon to launch a competitor to iPhone or other high-end smartphones, but a decent phone to enter the smartphone market. Apart from some good configurations I was also astonished to see some interesting add-on features provided with this phone, some of them are mentioned below.

Just like Google offers all its services for a Nexus product, Amazon doing the same for their Fire Phone. Amazon.com now lists this product and it will be released on July 25, 2014.
Specs seems to be decent. What about those four front facing cameras ?
Not really a smart feature mate, they are using it to offer 3D perspective.
